About Kamri Glass

Founded in 2002 by Kameel Khan and Rizwana Khan. Kamri Investments Limited is a family owned and managed company which prides itself in consistently producing high quality glass, aluminium doors and windows for the private and commercial markets. We are passionate about what we do and welcome the opportunity to assist you in finding solutions tailored to your needs.

Kamri Glass specializes in the custom manufacture of aluminum and glass doors and windows, and we’ve have built a reputation for quality and technical expertise. We have extensive knowledge of the brands we distribute, as well as proprietary systems, which enables us to provide informed recommendations that suit your budget and expectations.

Beginnings

But we didn’t start with glass… we started with distributing stretch wrap, used for sealing packages, pallets and in some cases used in plumbing. It was over the next few years when the company began looking for products to specialize in, and trying many products. We moved from bringing in aluminum sheets for signs, to buying and reselling glass from local companies and distributing glass as well.

Being new to the distribution business, we were able to learn, starting at the basic level on how to cut glass. We began supplying the glass for housing developments and also invested in technologies and machinery. This set the foundation for the future growth that would come.

Growth

Kamri Investments Limited has significantly grown from a distributor of various products to a glass distributor to an importer, and expanded by investing in modern glass tempering equipment, and developing T&T’s first glass-cutting processing line  Glass tempering is a process where  stock glass and heated to a certain temperature, then cooled, making it stronger and less likely to cut someone if it breaks. The strength of the glass and its safety features make it perfect for modern architecture.

With products  marketed under the brand Kamri Glass. We have a showroom and workshop in Marabella and our factory at the Point Lisas Industrial Estate.

Exporting to the Caribbean

Just before the heights of Covid19, Kamri Glass started exporting. Due to the shutdown and loss of foreign exchange, that slowed down significantly. However, with persistence, we established certain contacts in various countries. Once things reopened, we communicated directly with the prospects in the islands.

Kamri Glass now exports to Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia, St Vincent and Guyana. We have also expanded business to Guyana with a subsidiary company.

Kamri Investments Limited is proud to be the recipient of Breakthrough Exporter of the Year Award 2022 from the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The Breakthrough Exporter of the Year category is open to smaller companies (not individuals or professionals in business) which have branched out into export markets and have been able to show significant growth.
